I am a cake-obsessed multi-media creative: a writer, an embroidery artist, a baker, a graphic designer, and a Cake Historian. My first book, The Baker's Appendix, was published by Clarkson Potter in March 2017. For the last fourteen years I was with the Penguin Publishing Group (a subset of Penguin Random House), the past nine as a Senior Designer working on all aspects of advertising and promotions across a variety of imprints. It was still REALLY hard to get my book published. As of June 2017, my family and I have re-located from Brooklyn, NY to Portland, Oregon.
